To do this:

Instructions for setting Adobe Acrobat Reader to run outside your browser:

1)	Start Adobe Acrobat Reader.
2)	Click on 'Edit'.
3)	Click on 'Preferences'.
4)	Click on 'Options'.
5)	Remove the tick/check mark if there is one shown by 'Display PDF in browser' in the 'Web Browser Options' section.
6)	Click on 'OK'.
7)	Exit Adobe Acrobat Reader.
